Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These terms cover this website and your enquiries. If you become a Whetmark customer, the managed private instance is governed by a separate service agreement and data-processing agreement, which take precedence over anything here.
1. About Whetmark
Whetmark is a privacy-first reviewer-intelligence tool for grant writers, operated by Scientific Network Management S.L. It reviews a proposal draft against objections that real EU evaluators raised on comparable passages, quotes the passage that prompts each objection, and proposes fixes as tracked changes for the writer to accept or reject.
2. What Whetmark is, and is not
- Whetmark retrieves and surfaces objections real evaluators wrote on similar passages. It does not predict a score, a rank, or the odds that your proposal will be funded, and nothing on this site should be read as such a prediction.
- It shows a sample of the closest matching concerns per criterion, not an exhaustive list of everything an evaluator might raise.
- The writer confirms every change. Whetmark proposes; you decide. You remain responsible for the content you submit to a funder.
- A full review is thorough rather than instant, and can take several hours to complete on a private instance.
- No tool can guarantee funding. Evaluation outcomes depend on many factors outside any software’s reach.
3. Use of this website
You may read this site and contact us through it. Please do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, and do not submit unlawful content through the contact form.
4. The contact form
Information you send us is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please give accurate contact details so we can reply.
5. Intellectual property
The content of this site — text, design, the walkthrough video, the Whetmark name, and the reviewer corpus — belongs to Scientific Network Management S.L. unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied or reused without permission. Evaluator quotations are drawn from evaluation reports that were publicly released or obtained under access-to-documents requests.
6. Liability
This website is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on the general information presented here. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and it does not affect the terms of a separate service agreement if you become a customer.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, with the courts of Barcelona having jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
